Patricia “Patty” L. Malloy (nee Rakich), age 65 of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John Malloy; sister, Vickie Rakich; sister and brother-in-law, Kim (Mark) Thorpe; mother-in-law, Loretta Malloy Gartner; sisters-in-law, Maureen (Mario) Calderara, Patrice Malloy, Lora Gartner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty DeGregorio and Rich Josepher, Denise Terry, Peggy and Mike Bischoff, Dan and Kim Vaughan; fur babies, Chester and Charlie; and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leona (nee Halquist) Rakich.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.

Patty is such a wonderful person and a dear neighbor. We are still in shock that we are not going to see her anymore walking Charlie and have our conversations. Praying for John and family to bear the loss. May her soul rest in peace

My heart aches upon hearing the news of Patty's passing. She wasn't just a friend or acquaintance; she was a cornerstone of a shared adolescence, an inseparable part of our shared memories and adventures. From our carefree days including Locust St. and the Waltham, to navigating the ups and downs of adulthood, Patty was always there with a smile that could light up the darkest of days. Her warmth, kindness, and friendship were constants. The bond we all shared throughout the years was rare and precious, something I’ll always be thankful for. As everyone navigates this profound loss, please know that our thoughts are with you John, and the family. May you find solace in the beautiful memories you shared with Patty over the years and in the love and support of those around you.

This is so hard to phantom, and I can’t bring myself to speak about Pat in the past tense, it difficult to think of her as gone! We go way back working at the bureau on north Michigan avenue. to corporate TU. A no nonsense person that always was direct, she would back you up or shut you down depending on the situation. Pat, a compassionate and fair person that listened and offered solid advice and I admired her for climbing the ladder from a CRT Operator to a Director, in my book she will always be awesome! We shared laughs, serious talks and an occasional drink and a friendship that lasted beyond our days at Transunion. A beautiful person and a friend. Though her journey ended here, I’m sure Pat will be exceptional in her next chapter! An awesome person gone way to soon. My prayers are with John, Kim, and the family.
