Patricia S. Quinlan (nee Zimmerman), age 58, of Lansing, IL, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her home following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael Quinlan; her three children: Kelly Quinlan of Schererville, IN; Cory Quinlan of Romeoville, IL; and Michael Quinlan of Lansing, IL; her 96 year old father, Robert C. Zimmerman of Colon, MI; her five siblings: Mary Ann Zimmerman of Colon, MI; Eve Sullivan of Chicago, IL; Robert, Jr. (Tara) Zimmerman of Wesley Chapel, FL; Michael J. (Michelle) Zimmerman of Colon, MI; and Laurie Zimmerman of Schererville, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva (Kowalisyn) Zimmerman.Pat grew up in Calumet City, but had lived in Lansing, IL since her marriage. She was very proud of her children and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved weekends at her lake cottage in Michigan, where she especially enjoyed her garden. Patty Sue will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet, Munster, Indiana. A Funeral service will be held at 7:00 following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Individual Advocacy Group (IAG), 1289 Windham Parkway, Romeoville, IL 60446. IAG is an organization that supports people with autism and provides a group home for Pat’s son, Cory.
