” The family announces the passing of Paulette M. Boicken (Dyer, Indiana) born on October 3, 1957 and called home to be with her beloved Ross on September 13, 2026. Paulette was the loving Daughter of Theresa and Walter Pawelczak of Manteno, IL.
She is Survived by One Son, Matthew Boicken, Three Grandchildren; Ethan, Gracie and Emmie, Sister to Susan (Jim) Hasler, Steven (Judy) Pawelczak, and Bob(Kim) Pawelczak. Auntie and Cousin to many who she held dear.
Paulette will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and Family will honor Paulette by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Paulette is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Paulette’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church 7950 Marshall St. Merrillville, IN. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church (7950 Marshall St, Merrillville, IN 46410). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (711 W 77th Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410).
Paulette was a supporter of the ALS Foundation and a loving patriot through her support of the Tunnels to Towers Organization. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the ALS Foundation or Tunnel to Towers in memory of Paulette Boicken. “

Our deepest condolences to The Hasler family and the rest of Paulette’s family. Although we didn’t know Paulette for very long she always made you feel as though we were friends forever. I especially enjoyed the last time I saw her when we were out for a girls day at the tea room in Naples Fl. She was very sweet. She loved Sue , Jim, Lauren and Mike very much. That was evident. She loved visiting Naples. Loved the warmth and sunshine. May your great memories sustain you during this difficult time.
