Peggy Lee Kamysz

Peggy L. Kamysz, 65, of Hammond, IN. passed away suddenly, Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was recently retired after 31 years of service at St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart, IN where she was an RN and a Business Analyst at the Information Technical Department of the Hospital.Peggy moved from Chicago, Illinois in 1980 to Hammond, IN where she spent the last 34 years. She was a graduate of St Elizabeth School of Nursing, B.S. degree from the College of St. Francis, and received her Master’s Degree from Roosevelt University. She received numerous certificates from work related schools.She is survived by her sister, Annette (late Michael) Bragalone of MI; nephews, nieces, great nieces and great nephews; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins and many friends, especially Nancy (Rich) Cleve. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carol (nee Kondra) Kamysz and her canine buddies, Maggie and Molly.Peg always had a good word to say about someone and was a very independent woman who was loved and treasured by everyone she met. She will always be fondly remembered!A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN. with Deacon Bill Stearns officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until time of service at the Funeral Home.
