Peter L. Domsic, age 85, of Porter, IN, formerly of Hessville and Highland, IN, passed away Tuesday September 29, 2015. He is survived by his children, Rose Domsic, Kathy Domsic, Dennis (Laura) Domsic, Peter (Marcia) Domsic, Mary (David) Iwinski, Beth (Bob) Giannetti, and Dotty (Doug) Guzek; brother, Richard Domsic, aunt, Marguerite Domsic, sister-in-law, Beverly Domsic; grandchildren, Ed (Suzie) Marcisz, Darla Domsic, Kristin (Charles) Pinkerton, Dan Domsic, Tyler (Sofie), Ashley, Evan, and Jillian Domsic, Josh and Anna Guzek; four great grandchildren, and one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Anna Domsic; and siblings, Paul Domsic, Mary Ann (Jim) Patlyek, and Eugene Domsic. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 5, 2015 DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 7132 Arizona Ave. Hammond, IN with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Reverend Charles Mosley. Interment will follow, with Military Honors, at Ridgelawn-Mount Mercy Cemetery Gary, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 4, 2015 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and again on Monday, at the church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, at 5:30 p.m. Peter served in the Korean War, on the U.S. Norfolk as an Electrician Mate 3rd Class. He graduated from Valpo Tech on the GI Bill, was a member of Post 369 East Chicago and retired from St. Catherine’s Hospital, after 31 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Peter’s name to Hospice of the Calumet.
