“Phyllis Ludkowski (nee) Barankiewicz, 96, of Crown Point, IN, peacefully passed away on June 18, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry “Hank” Ludkowski; her second beloved husband, Eric Baumgart; brother, Raymond (Lillian) Barankiewicz; and sisters, Lorraine (Vincent) Rusin and Dorothy (John) Bartczak.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (James) Bubis and Colleen (Michael) Wagner; loving granddaughters, Jennifer Bubis, Laura Bubis, Samantha Wagner; loving great-granddaughter, Taylor Wagner (the “Little One”); sister, Patricia (Carl) Tisza; step-children, Cathy (Tom) McCabe, William Baumgart, and John (Sharon) Baumgart; many step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Phyllis loved the Chicago White Sox, Da Bears, BINGO, the casinos, her White Castle hamburgers, but most of all, her family.

She spent her last 15 months of her life at the Majestic Skilled Nursing Facility.

Phyllis will be deeply missed by all.  We love you, mom!”
