Our condolences to the family of a terrific gentleman that indeed, affected the lives of the students he mentored at Purdue Calumet. Ralph was an inspiration to myself and other guys who had the privledge of his friendship, especially those of us in the early years of his time as a professor at Purdue. Site visits to the Sears Tower in 1970 or the BOF at Inland were welcomed as a break from the theoretical to observe our construction industry in reality....... Thanks for it all..Mr.Bennett J.E.Doppler BS '72

Dee, We're sorry we were unable to meet with you at the funeral home. Ralph was a great guy and we always went back and forth about the Milwaukee Braves (back in the day) and the White Sox. The great park system in Dyer is certainly thanks to Ralph and the work he put in during the 70's to get it established.

I am so very sorry for your loss, Mrs. Bennett, Ralph, Jeff and Steve. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.I have very fond memories of my short but very enjoyable encounter with Mr. Bennett on Father's Day close to Chicago during my visit from Panama. His kindness, warmth and sense of humor made me like him immediately, and I could clearly see all at once where Ralph (whom I knew well) had gotten his good-heartedness and kind spirit.Although my meeting with Mr. Bennett was short, he left a lasting impression on both my mind and heart -- I would ask Ralph about his parents every single time we had contact. And, while he will be missed, I have no doubt that he is smiling upon us and watching over us from his VIP accommodations in Heaven.Yours sincerely,Jose

My sincere condolonces go out to the Bennett family at this very challenging time. After reading about Ralph, I was reminded of a quote from Abraham Lincoln that read: "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years"
