Raymond C. Binkowski, 62 of Dyer, IN formerly of Hegewisch, IL passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Beloved husband for 37 years of Linda (nee Rance); loving father of Raymond (Stacy) Binkowski and Cindy (Dennis) Protega; cherished grandfather of Breionna Protega and Sophie Binkowski on the way; fond brother of Bernard Binkowski and caring uncle of many nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Binkowski; sister, Marilyn Jerantowski. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and Saturday from 11:30-12:00 noon at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:00 PM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN; Interment will be at Memory Lane Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Ray retired from the Chicago Police Department in 1999. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #7, Hegewisch Lion’s Club, Mother of God Church and the Fred Schweitzer American Legion Post 272. Please omit flowers; contributions to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in his memory would be appreciated.
