Richard J. Parra, age 71 of Munster, IN passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 33 year, Nancy; children, Richard Parra, Nicole ( David) Hawkins; grandchild, Morgan Hawkins; mother, Mary (late Vincent) Randazzo; siblings, Christina (late Edward) Willis, Anthony (late Elizabeth) Parra Jr., Kathleen (Kenneth) Pisowicz, Joanne (Walter)Continue Reading
Richard J. Parra, age 71 of Munster, IN passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 33 year, Nancy; children, Richard Parra, Nicole ( David) Hawkins; grandchild, Morgan Hawkins; mother, Mary (late Vincent) Randazzo; siblings, Christina (late Edward) Willis, Anthony (late Elizabeth) Parra Jr., Kathleen (Kenneth) Pisowicz, Joanne (Walter) Kiselyk and Virgina (Henry) Janiszewski and many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Parra Sr.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 3:30 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Friday April 5, 2024 from 9:30 A.M. till 10:00 A.M. at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Thomas More Church 8501 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
Richard always made people smile and comfortable. He was a proud husband, parent, grandfather and a great friend to many. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Morgan, his granddaughter was the apple of his eye and best friend. Richard will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/tribute ) or the Shriners (donate.lovetotherescue.org)
