Richard L. Zimmerman, 91 of Dyer, IN formerly of Salt Lake City, UT. Passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia; daughter, Laura Menig; sons, John (Cathy) Zimmerman and Stephen Zimmerman; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Eric Skowronski) Menig, Kristina (Robert) Davis, Jessica (Justin) Jones, Joshua Zimmerman, Julia Zimmerman, Cayla Zimmerman, Steven (Brittany) Zimmerman and Mackenzie (Gavin) Booth; great grandchildren, Nolan and Lucas Davis; sister, Barbara (late Fred) Schwartz; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Zimmerman.

Richard retired as Vice President of Harris Bank after 35 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army. He was the former President of the LaGrange School Board. Richard served on the Board of Directors at South Suburban Hospital. He was an active outdoorsman and avid golfer. Richard loved the Lord and his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Research in his memory would be appreciated.

Funeral service will be Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:30 am at Faith Church, 100 W. 81^st Ave. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at 1:00 pm at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
