Richard W. Clott, 88, of Munster, IN passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 1, 1929. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Loretta “Lorrie” (nee Gorsica); son Christopher (Emily) Clott; daughter, Victoria Camden (Steven Scheiner); grandchildren, Caroline (Freddie) Hunssinger and Andrew Clott; great grandchild, Everleigh Hunssinger; & several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jeanette Clott; sisters, Jean Schroder and Mary Ruth Myers; & beloved aunt, Ida Boyd. Dick was a graduate of Purcell Marian High School and Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. He was a decorated 1st Lieutenant who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his release from the Army, he married and became a Calumet Region resident. After several jobs in the powdered metal industry, he started his own company RC Metals, which was in existence for the last 45 years Dick was a member of the Munster VFW Post 2697. He and his wife wintered in South Palm Beach Florida for over 20 years. He was a big baseball fan, Cubs, Sox and Reds and a Bears season ticket holder. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 3:00-6:00 pm with a prayer service at 3:30 pm at KISH FUNERAL HOME, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Monday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Lavatus Powell Program at Purcell Marian High School, 2935 Hackberry St., Cincinnati, OH. 45206, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to his friends and caregivers, James Budarz, Azher Ali and Jeff Anderson.
