Robert “Alan” Bowers, age 74 formerly of Griffith, IN passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He is survived by children, Timothy “Tim” (Carolyn) Bowers and Deborah Bowers; step-daughter, Sherry Wright and Sandra (Patrick) Moore; grandchildren, Brittany, Stephanie, Corie, Thomas James, William Lee and Brianna Wright; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cora; former caring wife, Maradele (Richard) Koehler; sisters, Linda (Domingo) Rositas and Vikki (Doug) Oosterhoff; brothers, Michael Bowers and Terry Bowers; sister-in-law, Patricia Bowers; and many nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Betty Bowers, sister, Joyce Munoz; and brother, Richard Bowers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Griffith Lutheran Church 1000 N. Broad St. Griffith, IN with Reverend Freda Scales officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Friday, February 25, 2022 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service.
Alan was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He loved listening to the Eagles and all genres of music. Alan was a PROUD U.S. Army Veteran and ONE of the most PATRIOTIC Americans ever to live and LOVED his country.
