Robert “Bob” N. Capestany, 87, of Dyer, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Robert “Bob” N. Capestany, 87, of Dyer, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janice; daughter, Catherine Lina (David) James; son, Robert Steve (Melanie) Capestany; step-children, Laura (late Bill) Anderson, Adam (Amy) Lawson, and Amy (Craig) Skalski; brother, William (Colleen) Capestany; and grandchildren, Natasha Capestany, Nicole Capestany, Robert Chase Capestany, Logan Anderson, Sawyer Anderson, Aidan Lawson, Andrew Lawson, Kyle Skalski, and Luke Skalski.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Max and Virginia Capestany; and brother, Max (late Grace) Capestany.
Robert was a United States veteran of the Army as a medic, Later in life he worked as a finance manager and then general manager at Thomas Dodge. After this he became an avid business man owning many different kinds of businesses over his lifetime, including: Maine Shrimp, Glitter and Gold, and The Gift Box.
Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
