Robert D. Noe, age 85, of Schererville, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015. He was the loving father of Michele (William) Wilkens and Marc Noe; adoring grandfather of Tess and Elinor Melvin; beloved partner of Carole Rojkowski; and dear friend of the Rojkowski family. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Kish Funeral Home; 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN, with Deacon Phillip Muvich officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m until the time of the 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elmwood, IL. Bob was the state of Michigan high school decathlon Champion and was awarded an athletic scholarship to Michigan State University, where he studied Mechanical Engineering. During the Korean War, Bob served as a Corporal Army Ranger in the Special Forces. He enjoyed Canadian fishing trips, golf, and piloting private planes. He retired at age 79 from Metropolitan Industries after 36 years of loyal service as a Mechanical Engineer. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
