Robert E. Boyle, age 95, of Munster, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Boyle; children, Lenore Hess, Tom Boyle, Bill Boyle, and Brian Boyle; step-sons, Bill Pansing and Rick Pansing; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brother, Jim Boyle. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 DIRECTLY at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Michael Yadron. Interment will follow at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Monday, at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Bob was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and attended the USN Academy in Annapolis, MD. He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran who served on the USS New Mexico. Bob retired from AMOCO/BP, after 35 years of service and was a member of American Legion Post 180 Highland, IN and the Northern Indiana Arts Association. He enjoyed, ballroom dancing, traveling, water color painting, music and coaching baseball. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Robert’s name to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
