Robert Eugene Huffman, age 85, of Schererville, IN, and lifetime resident of Lake County, IN, passed away February 23, 2016. He is survived by three sons, William (Bill), David, and Daniel Huffman; husband of the late, Betty J. Huffman (nee Gladish), for 60 years; son of Elijah and Wava Huffman of Hammond, IN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, with Reverend Steve Conger, officiating. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service. Robert was graduate of Hammond High School, and a graduate of Indiana University. He was Veteran of the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserve. Robert was a Cub Scout, Webelos, and Boy Scout leader for over 10 years. He was a member of the Gideon’s, the Masonic Temple, and was employed by CNA Insurance Co., for over 50 years.
