Robert J. Sippel, age 92 of Munster, IN passed away Monday, September 8, 2025. He is survived by his sister, Jean M. Robert J. Sippel, age 92 of Munster, IN passed away Monday, September 8, 2025.
He is survived by his sister, Jean M. Jeske; brother, William (Elsie) Sippel; nephews, David (Sara) Sippel, Douglus Sippel, Donald (Kelly) Sippel, Donna (Joseph) Wisner; great nieces and nephews, Lauren, Justin, Andrew, Kathleen, Nora, Jennifer (Will) Bryan and Rachel Wisner. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Regina (nee Lang) Sippel and brother- in- law, Jerry Jeske.
Robert was born on February 13, 1933 at St. Margarets’ Hospital in Hammond, IN. He proudly grew up in Hegewisch and graduated from Bowen High School. Robert received an Associates degree from Wilson Jr. College in 1953. He attended Valparaiso University and Roosevelt University. Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, making him a proud veteran. He was employed by the US Post office from 1958 to 1959, South Chicago Bank 1959 to 1981 and Concordia Cemetery in the office from 1981 to 2008. Robert retired at age 75 in 2008.
Robert was a life long active member and became president at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hegewisch.
Funeral Services were entrusted privately with Kish Funeral Home Munster, IN.
