Robert L. Crane, 92 of Calumet City, IL passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bertha (nee Kalvaites); sons, Robert (Patricia) Crane and Richard (Barbara) Crane; daughter, Carolyn (Joseph) Salus; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Russell (Mary Ellen) Crane; sister-in-law, Rosella Crane; numerous nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his grandson, David West Crane; brothers, Wilbur (Margaret) Crane and Donald Crane; sister, Marilyn (Charles) Gellersen; Visitation will be on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Monday from 10:30-11:00 at the church. Funeral service will be Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8955 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Robert served with the US Army during World War II and was a retired Machinist from Ortman Fluid Power. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 330 in Calumet City, IL, who will Post Colors on Sunday at 6:00 PM and hold Military Honors on Monday.
