Robert “Bob” Stephen Huggy, aged 79, loving and devoted husband of Linda (nee Hill) passed away at home on Thursday September 14th. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Kathryn, his brother Gary, sister Marsha, and his daughter, Wendy. Bob is survived by Linda, his wife of 40 years, his daughter, Kaylen (Alex), his grandson, Jude, his sisters, Kathleen Porto (the late Richard), and Jody, his brother, Mark (Jean), Sister-in-Law, Lisa (who he loved as a sister) (Fred) Eitzen, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends who were more like family.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 22, 1944. He was a barber by trade for over 50 years. He was an incredibly talented musician and artist, who could play most any song by ear on the guitar or piano. Bob was a jack-of-all-trades whose interests, specialties, and careers ranged from being a business owner, a chimney sweep, an EMT, a chef, and almost a nurses assistant. He was a wonderful story teller, a doting Baba (grandpa), and was passionately protective of his family. Bob loved those close to him with his whole heart. We will always remember him for being authentically generous, affectionate, and kind. Bob was one-of-a-kind and will be missed forever and loved always.
“If the sky, that we look upon, should tumble and fall
Or the mountains, should crumble, to the sea
I won’t cry, I won’t cry, no-no-no I won’t shed a tear
Just as long, as you stand, by me”
