Roberta “Berta” L. (nee King) Segvich, age 47, of Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Harbor Grace Hospice in Atlanta, GA. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Michael A. Segvich; and four loving children, Mary-Louise Drzich, Dustin Drzich, Taylor Drzich and Joseph Drzich; also, surviving, her mother, Wayvone (nee Holbrook) Spraggins and the late, James Spraggins; brothers, Russell and Richard King; and very close cousin, Julie “Sis” Branham. She was preceded in death by her two unborn children, Zoe and Zeb Segvich. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, with Pastor Ron Richmond, of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Family and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service. Berta was a 1988 graduate of Donald E. Gavit High School, with Honors, from the National Honor Society. She worked in Admissions Unit as a CNA at Community Hospital. Berta enjoyed dinner night with her kid’s and playing with her four dogs. Her passion though was shopping and trips to Aruba, with her husband Michael, where they planned to retire. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to everyone involved in helping Berta with her Final Wish of getting back to Aruba. She could not have done it without everyone’s love and support. Floral arrangements welcomed, but PLEASE NO ROSES!
