Ronald G. Emerson, 78 of Dyer, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara (nee Van Hessen); daughters: Ronee (Bruce) Luttringer and Jamee (Chilton) Slathar; grandchildren: Sarah and Lillian Luttringer, Rylee and Hayden Slathar; sister: Betty Arnold; sister-in-law: Maria Emerson; several nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by his parents: Archibald and Edith Emerson; brother: Archie and grandson: Joshua Ronald Luttringer A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM. Ron was a retired Operating Engineer for Local 150 and served with the U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/tribute in his memory would be appreciated.
