Ronald P. Pongracz, 81 of Calumet City, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Beloved husband of 54 years of Rita (nee Piskur); loving father of Gregory Pongracz, Thomas (Missy) Pongracz, Brian (Heidi) Pongracz and Diane (Rob) Wisniewski; proud grandfather of 13; caring brother of Eugene Pongres. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Mary Pongracz; brother, Vincent Pongracz. Visitation will be on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Saturday September 5, 2015 at 9:15 am from the funeral home with a 10:00 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 768 Lincoln Ave. Calumet City, IL. Interment will be at St. Joseph-St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Ron was a longtime member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. He retired from Federal Cement. Graduate of Bishop Noll Institute Class of 1951 and Purdue University with a Degree in Civil Engineering. Ron was an avid fisherman and Cubs fan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area or St. Andrew the Apostle Church in his memory would be appreciated.
