Ron graduated from Hammond High School and went on to receive a basketball scholarship to Culver-Stockton College in Missouri. He then transferred and graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington. Upon graduation, Ron went to work for Dow Chemical and then on to American Cyanamid's Lederle Laboratories, which he worked at for 35 years. He had a very successful career with Lederle, working in the International Division and specializing in Latin America working in Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico and Puerto Rico. He went on to become a District Manager in the Chicago area and finally Regional Manager covering sales for the western half of the United States for Lederle's Consumer Division. Ron made the best of each and every day. He was a devoted family man and loved to travel and brought his love of Latin America to his family by taking frequent family trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. He enjoyed being an integral part of his children's and grandchildren's lives. He also loved fishing and golfing and participated in both throughout his life. Ron was a diehard fan of the Chicago White Sox, Indiana Hoosiers, and Munster Swimming. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
