Rosa Gutiérrez (nee Ayala), 70 of Hammond, IN passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Beloved wife for 42 years of Félix; loving mother of Rosita (Carlos) Cazares, Félix (Ashley Oliver) Gutiérrez II and Christina (Joey) Strazzante; cherished grandmother of Ashleigh Cash and Maya Cazares; Fond daughter of Maria Ayala; caring sister of Guadalupe (Victor Lopez) Tapia, Victor (Lana), Michael (Sandy), Thomas (Lori) and Edward (Angie) Ayala; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; preceded in death by her father: Thomas Ayala. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN and Wednesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial is tentatively set to be celebrated on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Hammond, In with Fr. Charles Mosely officiating; Interment, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Rosa was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She and her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling with the Tripsters and Sandridge Bank Travel Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in her memory would be appreciated.
