Beloved mother and sister Rose A. Wasylowsky passed away on May 03, 2023 at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rose is survived by her loving daughter Alice Wasylowsky and Alice’s dog Moira, brother John Swaney, sister-in-law Linda Barrell, and mother-in-law Olga Wasylowsky. With Rose’s passing, she is reunited with her husband Steve, mother and father Alice and Ralph Swaney, sister-in-law Deanna Swaney, and father-in-law Stefan Wasylowsky.

Rose found enjoyment and humor in the smallest of life’s moments. Her candid laugh was contagious to all and her presence added warmth to everyone’s life.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 10:00 AM on May 13, 2023 at St. Maria Goretti Church in Dyer, Indiana. A visitation will be from 9:00AM-10:00 AM prior to the service on May 13, 2023 at St. Maria Goretti. I was good friends with Rose in grade school. I was looking for her to invite her to our 50th reunion. Our mothers were also friends. I am so sorry to read of her passing. Please share my sympathy with John also

Alice, I will always remember when your mom first started at CW and when my daughter was little and I brought her into work with me, she took to her fast and always hid underneath her desk. I will remember the kindness she showed as well to my mom when she shared her UIC parking passes with my mom when she had to go for her cancer treatment. She had a kind sole and was a great mom.
