Rose Marie Havran, 85 of Dyer, IN passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Rose Marie Havran, 85 of Dyer, IN passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She is survived by her children, Mary Helen (John) Znavor, Deborah (Rob) Parish, Ernest Havran, Jr., Laura
(Kurt) Kortokrax, Annette (Edward) Mendoza, and Michelle Havran; grandchildren, Amber, Robbie, Isaac, Eve, Abigail, and Jack; sisters, Helen (Late Wally) Mauder and Theresa (Marion)
Case, sisters-in-law, Joan Wolak, Louise Wolak, and Judith (Late Richard) Havran; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen Wolak;
husband, Ernest; siblings, Florence (Chuck) Savage, Sylvia (Tony) Zatkulak, Carl Wolak, and Walter Wolak.
Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 9:30-10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 am.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Rose Marie grew up in Indiana Harbor and graduated from St. John Cantius and East Chicago Washington High School. She
was a long time employee of Ribordy Drugs and retired from Walgreens. An extremely talented lady, she was a master quilter and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed crafting, visiting
garage sales, and a good cup of coffee. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Share Foundation in her memory would be appreciated.

I have so many good memories of Rose Marie. I was just a young child growing up next door (that lost my own mom at the age of 7). She was a busy lady with so many young ones of her own, yet she always made me feel welcome. We moved to Griffith, but I ran in to her often at Ribordy's, then Walgreens. It was always nice to hear updates on the family. Heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.
