July 18, 1944 - October 17, 2013

Rosemary Cappello, 69 of Lansing, IL; loving mother of John (Marsha) Cappello and Lisa Cappello; cherished grandmother of Gianni Cappello; caring sister of Gino (Betty) Ruggeri and Nick (Chris) Ruggeri; fond niece of Sarina Papa; passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John James Cappello in 2010 and her parents, Antonina and Francesco Ruggeri. Rosemary had a healthy zest for life and maintained a very positive attitude. She continually focused on the health and happiness of her children and family.She was an active volunteer with St. Vincent DePaul and a coordinator for Meals on Wheels. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Greater Chicago Food Depository or the Homewood Cancer Support Center (www.firstgiving.com/cancersupportcenter)in her memory would be appreciated.Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday October 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church, Lansing, IL. Interment will be private.

To the Cappello Family, My sincere condolences to you. I was taughtby Rose and John at SFDS in the late 60's early 70's. Mrs. Cappello was a great teacher and she would be proud that to this day I can speak pretty good Spanish. I will keep your family and both John and Rose in my prayers. They made a difference in a lot of young peoples lives.

I had Mrs.Cappello for Spanish 40 yrs ago @ SFDS. She was a fantastic teacher & person @ that time. Sounds like she continued that way throughout her life. My sympathies to her family. Her husband was one of my favorite people @ SFDS. May they rest in peace.
