Ross K. Boicken, age 62, loving husband of Paulette; father of Matthew (Sarah); brother of Rita (Neal) Molengraft; loving grandpa to Ethan and soon to be Grace; and loving brother-in-law and family friend to all who knew him, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 8601 Harrison Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again Tuesday, at the church, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Ross and I were childhood friends as we lived right down the road from each other and our families were very close. My dad, Harry Hameister, was one of Ross's sponsors and his mom, Wilma, was one of mine. I remember so many gatherings with our families, picnics, birthdays, holidays, and card parties. Ross and I would ride our bikes to meet and play together when we were very young. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and send my deepest condolences to his family. He was such a dear person and friend. Eventhough our lives sent us in different directions, he will be missed. Prayers for comfort for all.

Ross was an old school friend from Beecher and we are so sad to hear of his passing! He was always polite, fun , and a gentleman! Sympathy to the family! I worked at his families restaurant in the 1970's and Ross and his brothers were always in and out the restaurant. (It was called Wilmas)
