Ruth Castaneda, 72 of Lansing, IL passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012. She is survived by her children Peter(Michelle)Castaneda of Merrillville, Susan (John) Haberger of Napa, CA, Mark(Michelle)Castaneda of Winston Salem, NC, Allen(Alexandra)Castaneda of Homer Glen IL, Janet(James)Wieczorek of Lansing IL; Grandchildren, Melissa, Joseph, Rebecca, Allison, Alexander, Andrew, Allen, Danielle, Jimmy, Leo; Sister, Geraldine(John)Palmer; Preceded in death by husband Joseph Castaneda, sister Eleanor (Frank) Orchowski. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. at the Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave, Munster IN; and on Thursday from 9:30-10:00 at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann Church Lansing IL. Interment will be Friday 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City IL. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association. Ruth enjoyed bowling and spending her time with family and her grandchildren.
