Ruth L. Serafini, age 86, formerly of Lansing, IL, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Katy, TX, on January 1, 2015. She is survived by her children: Cheryl Ramsey; Tom (Connie) Ramsey; Karen (Dan) Gustafson; and Beth (Dave). She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Ramsey; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruthmary (Dan) Kiomento; one brother-in-law, Roy Marshall; two sisters-in-law Gloria Burghardt and Ida Schneider; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Serafini; her son,Robert Ramsey; her daughter Kimberly Serafini; her sister, Shirley Marshall; her parents; and her in-laws.Ruth's wake will be held on Monday, January 5, from 2-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN. Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 11:00 am.Born on December 29, 1928, Ruth was a house-wife and a longtime member of Lansing Lady Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the American Lung Association.
