Sara G. (nee Pomerantz) Silverman, formerly of Munster, IN and Chicago, IL born on July 24, 1924 in Des Moines, IA to Zelik and Chanah Pomerantz. She was preceded in death by her beloved and dedicated husband, of 39 years, Harold Silverman. Sara was the devoted and loving mother, of Rosalie (Alan) Lahn, Susan (Paul) Bochnowski, Morrie Silverman and Jack Silverman; proud and loving grandmother, of Adam Louis (fiancée Sara Rose Greenman) Lahn, Melissa Anne Lahn, Alisa Ann, Elliott John and Emily Hanna Bochnowski. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 DIRECTLY at Kneseth Israel Cemetery 1597 167th St. Hammond, IN with Rabbi Mordechai Levin, officiating. We would like to thank the staff of Lieberman Care Center, of Skokie, IL, for making our Mother’s last year of life, meaningful and peaceful.
