Shari had a wide variety of interests. She had a strong appreciation of art. Her favorite artists included Matisse, Picasso, Rivera, Muno, African Sculpture and jewelry. Even through a decade of bad health, Shari maintained a strong positive mental attitude. She practiced Buddhism, meditation, and spiritually that helped her find peace. Shari was an avid animal lover. As a young child, she and her sister Kim raised rabbits. In Shari’s 41 years of marriage, she had birds, rabbits, dogs and even found a safe haven for a wild turkey that was dropped off at her door. All six dogs were rescue dogs. A special bond was with a parrot named “Harpo” that lasted 38 years. Shari was valuable in assisting Tom’s career and was especially diligent with technology where Tom struggled. One last example of who Shari was, she had her eyes donated after her passing.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of memorials, Tom asks that you please reach out to someone who is lonely and visit with them.
