Beloved mother of Grace Garcia and Gene (Kathryn) Garcia; cherished grandmother of Mary Grace (Ryan), Joshua, Matthew, Marella, Jackie and Jenny; caring great grandmother of Maya, Mariah and Melody; loving sister of Yolanda (Edwardo) Palomado and Evelyn Dayot; preceded in death by her husband: Teodolfo Garcia and son: Gerson Garcia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment: Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Sonia was a Registered Nurse for over 43 years.
