Sunny Medved

Sunny Medved 28, of Hammond, IN passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Navdeep Jyoti Kaur; mother, Judge Mary Beth Bonaventura; father, Keith Medved; birth parents, Avtar Singh and Jasuir Kaur; brother, Tarlochan Singh; sisters, Emily (Jay) Rans and Kate (Nate) Vanderlin; grandmother, Betty Medved; nephew, Victor Rans; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sunny was an amazing man, who at a very young age migrated from India. He never met a stranger. Sunny made friends wherever he went, enchanting them with his bright, beautiful smile. He had a gentle and loving heart which was the foundation of his generosity. Sunny loved movies of all kinds, especially Indian action movies. He was famous for his music mixes, featuring American and Indian hip hop. The light of Sunny’s life was his adoring and beautiful wife, Jyoti. They married in 2010, honeymooning in Goa, India; a fairy tale story. There will be an enormous gap in the lives of Sunny’s mother and father, Mary Beth and Keith. He showered them with love and devotion every day of his life. Sunny was a joy and a gift that comes once in a lifetime. Sleep peacefully our sweet angel. Visitation will be on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday, from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Sunny was employed by Campagna Academy in Schererville, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Campagna Academy www.campagnaacademy.org, in his memory would be appreciated.
