Keslin, Therese A. (nee King) Age 87, of Munster, formerly of Calumet City, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 31, 2015 at The William J. Riley Memorial Residence. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph W. Keslin but is now beautifully reunited with him. Therese is survived by her loving children Thomas (Cindy), James (Katherine), John, Charles (Flora), Mary (Richard) Sprandel, Robert, Joseph (Vicky), Jean (Craig) Gardner, Joan (Sean) Meyers, Margaret (late Keith) Essary. Genuinely adored grandmother of Cathy (Thomas) Zager, Thomas (Laura) Keslin, Patrick (Lauren) Keslin, Colette (Jake) Wiesen, Angela (Steve) Loser, Sarah (Robert) Peterson, Jennifer DeFrank, Christopher (Tunde) Keslin, Therese (Thomas) FitzMaurice, Sara (Keith) Chrustowski, Stephanie (Bart) Austin, Wendy (Robert) Jabkowski, Robert Hoffman, Amy Hoffman, Zachary Keslin, Tyler Keslin, Brian (Dawn) Meyers, Kevin Meyers, Daniel Gardner, Ryan Gardner, Joseph Gardner, Brandon Essary, and great-grandmother of 30. Cherished daughter of late Charles and Mary King, dear sister of late Charles (late Doris) King, late Mary (late George) Hobby, late Robert (late Joan) King. She is also loving survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to close friends Claudia and Mark Varichak. Therese will be remembered most for her sweet gentle disposition and her loving blue eyes. As a devout Catholic, she drew on her faith to assist with the challenges of raising 10 children. One of her proudest accomplishments included being a founding member of Our Lady of Knock Church in Calumet City, IL. She was quick to volunteer in whatever capacity needed (band parent, librarian, Alter and Rosary Society, and volunteer at St. Margaret Hospital to name a few). Therese instilled abiding patriotism in her children by working as an election judge. She lived a beautiful life, devoted to her family and faith. The only thing left to do now is simply “say a little prayer, it’s all in God’s hands.” Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. and on Friday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163rd St. Calumet City, IL. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, 87th Street and Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.
