Thomas A. Matovina, 62, of Schererville, IN passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009. He is survived by his wife: Beverly (nee Barron); son: Mark (Keva) Matovina; daughter: Ann Marie Matovina; sister: Mary Matovina; brothers: Michael, Peter, Joseph and Ted (Pat) Matovina; niece: Laura (Jeff) Keever; great nephew and godson: Luke Keever; great niece: MaKenzie Keever; preceded in death by an infant brother: Stephen; parents: Joseph and Anna Matovina; sister: Helen Matovina. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN and Monday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. Tom was employed as the Area Manager for McAllster Equipment and previously worked at Patten Industries for 40 years. He was a member of Briar Ridge Country Club and former member of All Saints Church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Jennifer S. Fallick Cancer Support Center, 2028 Elm Rd. Homewood, IL 60430 or a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated. Tom’s family could always depend on him and he never complained. He was a loving husband, father, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
