Thomas M. Long, 57, of Senoia, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. He was born in Hammond, IN to Robert and the late Gloria Long. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lynn; sons, Eric and Keith; grandson, Colin; brother, Robert Long and his family; aunt, Loretta Shepp. Tom was known for his sense of humor and love for his family. Aviation was one of his biggest passions, working in the industry for most of his life, including Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines for over 28 years. But his biggest passion was his family and children, always staying involved in his kid’s lives and being there when they needed him. Tom had many hobbies and interests. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and never gave up his love of shooting. He always had a love for cars, which included his 1970 Mustang Mach 1 he owned as a young man and sharing the passion with both his sons. Most recently he fell in love with sports car racing, participating in two “ChumpCar World Series” endurance races. He was a private pilot and his love for all things aviation was always strong. Tom was also a new member to the Mason’s and was in the process of becoming a full member. Visitation will be on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Service Tuesday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
