Timothy Veldkamp, 30, of Munster, IN passed away suddenly on Friday, December 23, 2016. Beloved son of Marlene and Marlon Veldkamp. Loving brother of Robert Shimko (fiancé Lesile Gouliaev and her daughter Emma Gouliaev) and Jeffrey Shimko. Cherished Aunts and Uncles, Elaine Butynski, JoEllen (Branko) Aleksandrovich, Dolores (Bud) Reffkin, Thomas (Catherine) Butynski, Brad (Susan) Veldkamp and Joseph Butynski. Fond cousins, Kristen Veldkamp and Christopher Reffkin. Faithful companion, Sneakers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Lottie Butynski; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Marian Veldkamp; aunt, Karen Butynski and uncle, Kenneth Butynski. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Thursday from 10:00-10:30 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be private. Tim was born March 11, 1986 and was a graduate of St. Thomas More School, Munster High School and attended Purdue Calumet. He was currently employed at Bosak Auto Group in Merrillville and was a longtime manager at Munster Donut. Timmy was an avid fan of the Cubs, Blackhawks and all things automotive. He was known for his cheerful and loving attitude along with his beautiful smile. He was always helpful to his family and friends in need.
