Trudy Baldwin (nee Stur), age 65, of Griffith, IN, passed away on April 29, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband Roy, of 44 years. Trudy is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Helen (Krupinski) Stur, and her brother Benji.Trudy is survived by her sister Patti (Paul) Fedinets of Northlake, Illinois, her Uncle John (Julia) Krupinski of Griffith, IN, sister-in-laws Evelyn Baldwin of Bear, DE and MaryAnne (Frank) Fagyas of Phoenix, AZ, brother-in-law Tom (Krista) Baldwin of Atlanta, GA, loving niece Lindsay (Matt) Launsby and nephews David (Diane) Miranda, Eric (Tara) Fagyas, Connor Baldwin, and Jonathan Baldwin, and many cousins, and dear friends.Trudy was an avid bowler. She bowled in multiple leagues at Plaza Lanes in Highland, serving as President of one of her leagues. The friendships she made with her bowling teammates will be everlasting. She also enjoyed traveling and was a gracious entertainment hostess. Everyone who knew Trudy felt very welcomed at her home.Trudy was a 31 year member of the American Legion Post 369 Women’s Auxiliary Club in East Chicago, IN, and a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, IN.A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 525 N. Broad Street, Griffith, IN with Rev. Len Dubiofficiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 4:00-8:00pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN.Trudy dearly loved her family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
