Victor John Roman Jr., of Dyer, IN, passed away June 16, 2025 at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Barbara Ann Roman (nee Toosevich); Daughter, Jaclyn Joy (Matthew) Payne (nee Roman); Son, Christopher Scott Roman; Sisters, Geraldine Vargas, Kathleen O’Hara; Grandchildren, Sophia, Noah, Stella Payne (Little Bit); and his buddy Little Vic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor John Roman Sr. and Genevieve Roman (nee Pawlowski); and beloved pets Pluto, Taffy, BJ, Teddy, Molly, and Dickens.
Victor graduated from T.F. North in 1966 before marrying his beloved wife Barbara in 1970. He was a Vietnam veteran of the Army. He was retired from Republic Steel (LTV) after 20 years and S&S Trucking after 30 years. He loved to spend time traveling between Arizona, Mississippi, and Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, Dyer, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 10:30-11:00 am at the church. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
