Violet V. Koval, nee Golbien 87, passed away on October 14, 2009. Predeceased by Peter S. Garaffo beloved husband and father of her children. Loving mother of Francine (Kenneth) Roza, the late Celeste Garaffo, Lisa (Mark) Jason, Peter (Francine) Garaffo and Nina (Mike) Snooks. Cherished grandmother of Kenneth and Scott Roza, Nicole Havlin, Melissa Currie, Joseph Miliauskas, Christopher and Claire Jason, Elena, Peter J. and Stephan Garaffo, Alex Ciara. Proud Great Grandmother of 15. Sister of Ruth (late Robert) Bock of Madison, WI. Several Nieces and Nephews. Violet retired after 25 years as a professional fundraiser for both the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Jewish Federation. Violet touched many lives, she was a dear friend, she will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be on Saturday October 17, 2009 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a funeral service at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area, American Cancer Society, March of Dimes or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
