July 19, 1929 - March 13, 2011

William A. Hildebrand, 81, of Schererville, IN passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Hildebrand; daughter, Laura (David) Schetter of Burr Ridge, IL; son, Mark (Sara) Hildebrand of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren, Ashleigh Schetter, Hannah and Adam Myers; preceded in death by his son and 2 sisters. Funeral service will be private. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Humane Society of the Calumet Area in his memory would be appreciated. William served with the U.S. Army, was a member of American Legion Griffith Post 66 and retired from Amoco. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
