William “Bill” P. King

April 30, 1930 - August 31, 2012

William P. King Jr. 82, of Tinley Park, IL died unexpectedly on Aug 31, 2012 in Spooner, WI. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen (nee Lauerman), He is also survived by 6 living children, Fred (Kim) King, Chris (Donna) King, Joseph (Rosy) King, Barbara (Michael) Knowles, Carolyn (Brian) Terwilliger, Mary (Jim) Watts and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death and is now re-united in Heaven with his loving son Paul. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN. Interment will be private on Friday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Bill proudly served his country as a Marine in the Korean War and was awarded the National Defense Services Medal. Bill had a long distinguished career at Illinois Bell prior to working as a private consultant until his retirement. Bill was an avid fisherman and craftsman. He is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital www.stjude.org/tribute in his memory would be appreciated.
